My Role

I was given the opportunity to work on this project while I was interning at The Minimalist, Mumbai in 2018. The project involved collaboration with various teams at The Minimalist. (Interaction Design Team, Content Team, Development Team)
My role included designing the responsive website for ToneTag including user and market research, restructuring the information architecture, wire framing and UI design.

ToneTag is a secure sound-wave communication technology platform which enables payments and proximity customer engagement services on any device, independent of the instrument or the infrastructure. It uses a Data-Over-Sound Technology to communicate between devices with a speaker and a microphone.
CLIENT VISION
A sound-wave communication technology provider, ToneTag envisioned to build a corporate website according to global standards to improve its electronic presence and to project themselves in the market as tech enablers who use natural sources to deliver futuristic experiences.
The Challenge

Conveying the tangible (ToneTag Retail Pod) and the intangible (Software Development Kit) resources provided by ToneTag and how they can be integrated into the users existing hardware.

Approach
ToneTag aims to re-establish human-tech interaction making it more humane. It empowers its partners to deliver seamless experiences to their customers and helps simplify everyday lives. Thus, the approach of the website should be optimizing experiences.

The main idea is to portray ToneTag as a state of the art, agile technology experience that empowers you to achieve infinite possibilities and a leader of the Data- Over- Sound technology.

The client wanted to highlight the fact that ToneTag is a technology which is completely harnessed from sound: an integral part of nature. They opted for the pre-loader to bring about an experience of sound being harnessed from the universe.

Post the preloader the cursor for the website transforms to a green pulsating interaction to depict the innovative data over sound technology of ToneTag.
A live demo sticky interaction across the website was implemented in an attempt to help the users understand the applications of the technology and immerse them in the experience.

In order to aid users to discover the application of ToneTag that best suited their context, the usecases were divided into tabs of payment and engagement services that could be effectively filtered based on industry.
